Who we’re looking for :

The objective of the Digital Product Manager role is to drive our digital agenda by crafting the vision and delivering commercial and customer outcomes for Virgin’s digital experience portfolio. Their manifesto is to meet and exceed expectations of internal and external stakeholders leading digital product development and transformation projects across our airline and membership program.

What you’ll be doing :

  • Responsible for defining the product vision, articulated through a product strategy, roadmap and prioritised backlog that is clearly communicated with stakeholders ;
  • Accountable for ensuring the commercial and customer objectives for the product experience are defined and met ;
  • Front door for the business into digital; partners with the business to ensure that demand is accurately captured, aligned with the strategy and defined with customer/commercial focus so that it may be prioritised ;
  • Accountable to define, measure, report and achieve KPIs at a product, portfolio, departmental and group level ;
  • Define which features should go on the roadmap and in what order to meet customer and business needs ;
  • Virtually lead product owners across the related portfolio of product experiences ensuring strategic alignment and delivery ;
  • Build a solid internal stakeholder relationship strategy, positioning as a key business partner to define and deliver shared goals through digital product. Clearly communicate priorities, manage expectations and build advocacy ;
  • Develop and use customer research, lean canvas and market data as tools for product strategy, stakeholder engagement and business case creation ;
  • Develop and use financial models to evaluate and plan the product lifecycle sizing up opportunities and realising delivered benefits ;
  • Develop a consistent, 3-12 month forward roadmap to support regular, cross-business capacity planning and prioritisation ;
  • Responsible for overseeing the creation of user stories, refining requirements and defining release and sprint goals in line with product objectives.

 

You’ll be great in this role if you have :

  • Relevant Bachelor’s degree ;
  • 2+ years experience in mid-senior level role in CX, product development, digital or technology ;
  • 2+ years experience working in agile environments including leading agile projects and/or cross functional teams ;
  • Demonstrated track record in delivering complex projects and/or transformation programs ;
  • Proven experience in business performance reporting for senior-level audience ;
  • Ability to navigate ambiguity and uncertainty through scenario planning and risk management approaches ;
  • Proficient in prioritisation frameworks to ensure the most efficient utilisation of capacity ;
  • Highly skilled in analytics and insight generation, ideally with Adobe Analytics and Power BI ;
  • Strong willingness to be a part of a team, with high collaboration, engagement and a positive mindset ;
  • Commercially astute with ability to use data and analytics in driving decisions ;
  • Relevant background in digital, product, experience, customer and corporate delivery.

 

Desirable skills :

  • Recognised Agile product management qualification ;
  • Airline and/or travel industry experience ;
  • Customer research and UX design ;
  • Understanding of airline and consumer loyalty programs.
