Location:  London, England
Salary:  GBP270 - GBP330 per day


iKas International are currently recruiting for a client facing Portfolio Analyst on behalf of an industry renowned, market leading asset management organisation who are looking to grow out their team.  The Portfolio Analyst will be responsible for supporting the Investment teams for a given set of portfolios to ensure that they meet the daily requirements and deadlines to enable the Portfolio Managers to manage the portfolios effectively and efficiently.  The Portfolio Analyst will be the interface between the Investment teams and the other Operations teams and will need to work with other members of the department to successfully support the Portfolio Managers.

 

Responsibilities:

Provide daily cash forecast reports to Portfolio Manager,  Ensure accurate portfolio positions are reflected on the accounting systems,  Escalate any reconciliation items to the Portfolio Managers,  Initiate FX transactions to be executed by Portfolio Managers, Calculate the valuation of derivative positions, Work with other Investment Operations departments and Investment teams to improve processing efficiency, Coordinate process design and implementation for new asset types and portfolio strategies.

 

Education and Experience:

  • University Degree, Relevant experience in an asset management, custody or investment bank environment, dealing with complex fund structures and asset types.
  • Securities Institute /Investment Administration Qualification (IAQ) completed or completing considered an advantage.
  • Strong working knowledge of derivatives
  • Understanding of LDI (liability-driven investment strategy)
  • Experience either in a hedge fund / investment bank or investment manager.
  • Project Experience in the implementation of systems would be viewed favourably.
  • Candidate must demonstrate strong problem solving skills and must be willing to assume responsibility
