Salary:  EUR0 - EUR80000 per annum


NP Group are exclusively helping an established and successful European communication software company to appoint a new Director of Legal Affairs to work in their HQ in Massy, Île-de-France. The company is a top international player in network performance solutions (WAN, NFV/SDN, VPN, etc) and has been supporting mobile network operators and large enterprises worldwide for over 10 years. Some of their key customers include Ericsson, Vodafone, T-Mobile and BT. They are also a strong strategic partner of the likes of Alcatel-Lucent (Nokia) and Cisco.

 

As the Director of Legal Affairs, you will lead the company’s legal team globally, oversee legal matters of the whole group and support business teams in the areas of Corporate law, M&A, Contracts, Intellectual Property and Compliance. You will need to be adaptable and flexible in the context of targeted M&A activities and a highly dynamic environment.

 

Responsibilities of the Director of Legal Affairs:

  • Corporate & governance matters
  • M&A projects and financing operations
  • Intra-group agreements
  • Contract negotiation (Software Licensing agreements)
  • Intellectual Property matters (open source, source codes, trademarks and patents)
  • Group compliance (export control, GDPR, etc)
  • Resolving Legal disputes.

 

Qualifications for the Director of Legal Affairs:

  • Master’s degree in commercial and corporate law (or equivalent)
  • Minimum 7 years’ experience in a similar role working for a Software or IT company, including successful management of M&A projects and strategic transactions
